Originally from Nashville, TN, Michelle has been on the east coast since 1998, where she completed her BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Michelle was a resident artist at the Creative Alliance in 2009 and 2010 and has most recently exhibited at the Henry Art Gallery, Maryland Art Place, and the Creative Alliance in Baltimore. Michelle’s work has appeared in New American Paintings and she was a semi-finalist for the U.S. Fulbright Student Program and the Janet and Walters Sondheim Prize in 2010. Currently, Michelle also teaches and coordinates a teaching artist program at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
